Khajuraho is one of the most popular tourist’s destinations in India, located at Chhatarpur District, Madhya Pradesh. Khajuraho temples are perfect blend of architecture and sculpture these 85 granite and sandstone temple belong to two different religions – Brahmanism and Jainism. The whole region of the temples was enclosed by a wall, with eight gateways flanked by two golden palm trees. Khajuraho temples were built in coarse granite, grained buff, pink and pale yellow sand stone. The sculptures at Khajuraho belong mainly to three categories. The cult images of Shiva, Vishnu, Surya and the Jain Tirthankaras belong to the strictly religious class. The Eastern Group of temples comprises of the Brahma Temple, Vamana Temple and Javari Temple and Jain shrines like Ghantai Temple. Secondly, there are those highly individual pieces, like the rampant lion and the supplicating women figures in front of the Khandariya Mahadev Temple. Western Group of temples includes the Kandariya Mahadeva, Jagadambika Temple, Chitragupta Temple and Lakshmana Temple. The third category comprises the fascinating group of friezes, and band upon of sculptured human figures. Tourist Attraction in and around Khajuraho:

Khajuraho Dance festival - Khajuraho dance festival, held every year in February - March for a period of one week. The 1 week lengthy festival showcases different classical Indian dance such as Kathak, Bharat Natyam,Odissi, Kuchipudi, Manipuri and Kathakali. Contemporary Indian dances also performed throughout the festival. Each and every evening, two achieved artists perform in the open-air auditorium towards the backdrop of magnificently lit temples. The dance festival presents a ideal mix of previous and existing together.

Panna Nationwide Park - The nationwide park is located at a distance of 57 km from Khajuraho. Panna is famous around the world for its diamonds and equally for your national park. The Tiger reserve from the nation supplies shelter to wildlife species like wild cats, deer and antelope. Due to its closeness to Khajuraho, the park can be a key tourist attraction. The environment of this region is tropical, summers are as well hot and very unpleasant, so the most beneficial time to visit the park is November to April.

Bandhavgarh Nationwide Park - Located at a distance of 250 Kms, as soon as the park was hunting preserve with the Maharajas of Rewa. Bandhavgarh was declared a Nationwide Park in 1968, it addresses an region about 450 square Kms. The park is coated densely by Sal trees, Bamboo trees and grasslands. The famous white tigers of Rewa were found here. The park could be the house of numerous wildlife species that incorporate Tigers, Chousingha, Chital, Chinkara, Wild boar, Foxes, Jackals, Jungle cat, Hyena, Black-faced langur, Types of deer and more than 250 species of birds. Greatest time to pay a visit to the park is November to June.
